Homes, safehouses and businesses: what Rockstar has said, and what the trailers have shown.
Rockstar has NOT confirmed any way to buy properties, safehouses or businesses with in-game money in GTA VI. Nothing in GTA V's style of buying property is announced: no purchasable apartments, no business management, no property income. Confirmed so far: (1) story safehouses that Rob Nelson compares to RDR2 camps, which can be shared by Jason and Lucia and may belong to someone else; Jason's first home is rent-free on Brian Heder's property. (2) Garages come only with edition content: a garage with the '55 Vapid Stanier in the Vintage Vice City Pack, and a garage with the '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy ('Paradise Garage') in the Ultimate Edition. (3) Five Ultimate-Edition shops, plus a 'PTT Youngin$' location that Rockstar names inconsistently (Compound vs Illegal Goods Store). (4) Rockstar says money matters more than in earlier games (IGN interview), earned through car boosting, robberies and heists, but has not said that money buys property. Unverified claims to ignore: fan accounts and guide sites say 'garages can be bought but safehouses cannot' and name a 'Shore Court Garage'. No Rockstar or first-hand press source for either claim was found. In the story, Boobie Ike owns real estate, a strip club and a recording studio, but that is character background, not a player feature.
Rockstar North's Rob Nelson said GTA VI safehouses are closer to Red Dead Redemption 2's camps than to earlier GTA safehouses: more interactive and more home-like. Jason and Lucia can share one, each keeps a separate daily schedule, and the safehouse in the preview demo belonged to someone else. It offers only basic grooming (cutting hair shorter or shaving); new hairstyles need a salon or barber. He did not say whether safehouses can be bought.
Rockstar's character profile says Brian lets Jason live rent-free in one of his properties as long as Jason helps with local shakedowns. The GTA Wiki identifies this as the Key Lento stilt house seen in Trailer 2.
In the IGN interview, Nelson showed a personal vehicle whose trunk holds spare clothes. Preview coverage adds that each protagonist can keep a set of personal vehicles at their current residence.
This pre-order bonus for anyone who buys either edition before November 20, 2026, includes a vehicle plus a garage. This is the only garage Rockstar has named as a bonus for every edition.
This Ultimate Edition item includes a vehicle and a garage. An image caption on Rockstar's editions page shows the buggy leaving the 'Paradise Garage'.
Ultimate Edition vehicles kept at Jason's safehouse. Rockstar's image caption lists a Vapid Ganado, a Dinka Enduro and a Crest kayak parked outside.
Rockstar's support article lists 'PTT Youngin$ Compound' as an Ultimate Edition item, while the editions page calls it 'PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store'. Rockstar has not said what it does, or whether the player owns it or just gets access to it.
The Ultimate Edition adds five shops: Rideout Customs Mod Shop, One-Eyed Willie's Mod Shop, Sara's Unisex Salon, Stock 305 Clothing Store and Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor. These are places to spend money at, not businesses the player runs. Windows Central reports that only Ultimate Edition owners can use them.

Wiki overview of GTA VI safehouses; it currently lists the Key Lento Safehouse and the Starlet Motel.

Two-storey stilt house in Key Lento owned by Brian Heder, where Jason lives rent-free and Lucia later stays. It features heavily in Trailer 2.

Port Gellhorn motel whose room Jason and Lucia share in Trailer 1. It is listed by the wiki as a safehouse and also appears in Trailer 2, an official screenshot and artwork.

Rockridge apartment complex (not a player home) where Lucia climbs out of a window in Trailer 2 and a police raid happens in the Extended Look.

Brian Heder's boat yard in the Keys, which Rockstar says he still uses to move product. It is an NPC-owned business seen in Trailer 2 and artwork.

Boobie Ike's Vice City strip club, an NPC-owned business shown in official screenshots and artwork.

Record label and studio co-run by Boobie Ike and Dre'Quan Priest, home of Real Dimez. It is an NPC-owned business.
